KCW Hardship Fund
Are you facing unexpected financial crisis?
It can be very worrying when we find ourselves in unexpected financial trouble. The KCW Hardship Fund is here to offer support.
If your circumstances have suddenly changed or if for any reason you find yourself in immediate and desperate need, the Fund offers advice and emergency support for church members facing unforeseen financial pressure.
Who is the Hardship Fund for?
The Hardship Fund exists to bring financial support to those facing serious short term financial difficulty within our church family.
It is available to regular church attenders, and each case will be assessed on the biblical criteria of proximity e.g. commitment to the fellowship and necessity e.g. the seriousness of the need.
Beneficiaries will be those who:
are in immediate and desperate need e.g. due to unemployment, illness, relationship breakdown, bereavement etc
do not have, or have exhausted, other sources of support outside the church e.g. friends, family, NHS, state benefits
are willing to take action to remedy their situation, through speaking openly with the Hardship Fund Team and any other appropriate person or organisation and following recommendations and advice offered
What can the Fund pay for?
The Fund can provide short-term support for unexpected financial needs, and the immediate alleviation of poverty in line with the charitable objectives of CMCT. These needs might include for example:
Rent/Mortgage payments
Essential food & clothing
Utility bill payments
Transportation to and from work/church
Medical treatment or professional counselling (where not covered by the NHS)
Funeral expenses
Support will be decided on a case-by-case basis and will be offered alongside appropriate budgeting guidance.
